Before Charli D’Amelio was the most-followed TikTok individual, Loren Gray was the most-followed individual. She was surpassed by Charli D’Amelio on 25 March 2020. She had 41.3 million followers when she was passed and was the first TikTok account to reach 40 million followers. Charli D’Amelio is now the most-followed TikTok user, being first and only TikTok user to reach 100 million followers.
Before Loren, Lisa and Lena were the most followed individuals on TikTok, with over 32.7 million followers. They deleted their account in March 2019, citing privacy concerns and their loss of interest in the platform. They rejoined TikTok on a new account with the same username on 7 May 2020. They now have over 12.7 million followers.
