The Oswal (sometimes spelled Oshwal or Osval) are a Jain & Hindu community with origins in the Marwar region of Rajasthan , India and Tharparkar district in Sindh. The Oshwals or oswals have different gotras on the basis of their kuldevis. The major kuldevi of oshwals is Sachiya Mata.They are of Rajput descendents of Raja of osanagar presently Osian (Jodhpur) Maharaja Utpaladev of Paramara dynasty.
