MTV Splitsvilla

MTV Splitsvilla is an Indian television dating reality show that airs on MTV India. Earlier hosted by Nikhil Chinapa, and now being hosted by Rannvijay Singhaa and Sunny Leone.

Summary

The show revolves around young boys and girls trying to secure a place in Splitsvilla, a villa, where they are detached from the real world. It is a hunt for love, where boys and girls compete in tasks to remain in the competition and mingle with their fellow contestants to find love. In the end, a girl and a boy are crowned the winners of Splitsvilla. There is jealousy, hatred, friendship, backstabbing, breakups and a lot of fights when the contestants compete. Each Season comes with a new twist.

From Season 1 to 8 There was a King and a Queen who have dumping powers.

In Season 9, where women were in power, there were two Queens and no Kings. The Queens were given the power to dump the warriors and princesses.

In Season 10, ideal matches were given the power to rule over the villa and the formation of an ideal match lead to the dumping of a contestant. The ideal matches are announced by the Oracle, an entity which studies the influence of science over love. Ideal matches are pairs, each consisting of a girl and boy possessing much similar emotional and psychological characteristics. They are decided on the basis of their answers given in the audition. All the contestants may not have an ideal match in the villa.

In Season 11, The ideal match may also change due to changes in the dynamics of the villa and there was secret session with oracle few times.

In Season 12, there were the chosen ones who had a bracelet with powers. The first to become the ideal match will be the chosen ones. The chosen ones had to compete with the ideal matches to save their title of “Chosen ones”. The chosen ones had the power to save, eliminate or they were given some powers during the tasks.

In season 13, show was based of greek mythology cupid’s arrow there will be two villas (Golden villa and silver villa) And one secret villa called Wild Villa ( A ticket to Splitsvilla) and three hosts.

Splitsvilla 1 was hosted by Rannvijay Singh. In this season, two boys, Varun Saini, a former participant of MTV Roadies 5 and Vishal Karwal, of MTV Roadies 4, find the ultimate girl of their dreams choosing from 20 girls after putting them through grueling tests. The girls battle stress, politics, exhaustion, fear, and other such emotional challenges to be the chosen one and avoid the humiliation of being dumped. The girl who is dumped leaves the show. In this manner, a winner is selected.

Of the final three, that is Shraddha, Heena and Prianca, Shraddha emerged as the winner and became the Queen of Splitsvilla. Shraddha then went on to choose Vishal. Vishal was challenged by Varun. They had to fight in three rounds; the winner of two out of the three was to be declared the ultimate winner. Vishal came out a clear winner by winning the first two rounds.

Finale: A roulette game based on luck was played between the three finalist pairs: Manish and Pooja, Sai and Tina, and Dushyant and Priya. The first round was won by Sai and Tina who went directly to the finals. The second round was between Manish Pooja and Dushyant Priya to determine who would join Sai Tina for the final round. The round was won by Dushyant Priya who joined Sai Tina in the final round. Dushyant Priya won the final round and were declared the winners of Splitsvilla 4.

Splitsvilla 5 began with nine girls and nine boys. Unlike the last two seasons, this season was set in Uttarakhand, India. The villa was located outside the Jim Corbett National Park. The season was hosted by Nikhil Chinapa. The finale aired on 24 June 2012. The final competition to win the title was between Vroon and Jasmine and Paras and Akanksha. Paras and Akanksha went on to win the title of Splitsvilla 5.

Splitsvilla 7 started in June, 2014 and ended on 25 October 2014. Mayank Gandhi and Scarlett Rose won the season. The show was hosted by Sunny Leone and Nikhil Chinapa.

There were seven boys and twenty girls. This season was set in Samode Palace, Jaipur, India. In this season, the audience got to see old Splitsvilla contestants like Ashwini Koul and Rishabh Sinha. Ashwini chose to quit the game after his lady love Sanjana decided to leave the show due to an injury sustained during a task. Rishabh was banished by Queen Khushi. There were two kings and two queens in this season: Shravan Reddy and Abhishek Malik and Queens: Khushi Bhatia and Dana Vana. The season of Splitsvilla was the most popular season due to presence of Sunny Leone, a popular film star. There were two female, Dana Vana and Ranji and one male, Yasir Khan, wildcard entries through MTV Battleground. Scarlett Rose and Mayank Gandhi won the show.

Splitsvilla 8 was hosted by Rannvijay Singh. Karan Kundra also appeared on the show to host a couple of segments. This season saw fourteen girls and eight boys from the auditions, and eight celebrity boys. Subuhi Joshi from Splitsvilla 6 re-entered the show as a queen. The season’s theme was “What Women Love”. The season was talked about due to two contestants Karishma and Gaurav being confident and indicating that they had bisexual tones. Gaurav had to quit due to illness.

The primary rule of the show is that those who are already in a relationship outside the villa are not permitted to participate. Since two contestants Ish and Viren broke this rule, they were eliminated.

Splitsvilla 9 was hosted by Rannvijay Singh and Sunny Leone. The show premiered on 11 June 2016. This season had fifteen celebrity boys and six girls with the theme “Where Women Rule”. The boys were not given the power to dump any girl. Three princesses and two warriors joined as wild card entries. Martina was the first queen followed by Rajnandini and then Kavya. The season finale aired on 8 October 2016 and was won by Gurmeet Singh Rehal and Kavya Khurana.

Splitsvilla 10 began on 23 July 2017. It was hosted by Sunny Leone and Rannvijay Singh. The show consisted of ten boys and ten girls who came to find true love. The theme of the season was “Experiment of Love”, i.e. experimenting and testing whether love can be found through science or not. There was a new concept of ideal matches. The show was shot in Jim Corbett National Park. It was the second season to stream on Voot. The season ended on 10 December 2017 with Naina Singh and Baseer Ali being declared as the winners.

Fresh from the superb Roadies Revolution ride, Neha Dhupia is the special guest on the third online audition for Splitsvilla 13. Salman Zaidi, winner of Ace Of Space 2, is here to see if he can conquer Splitsvilla too. With Neha Dhupia nudging him on,he choose one girl to be his best connection from a group of ten.

Audition–Stage 0.4 “Final audition with Vidya Malavade” 20 December 2020
This is the last of the online auditions, Speedy Affair, for Splitsvilla 13, and also features a surprise ‘Mismatched’ co-host, the extremely talented Vidya Malavade. The fourth Splitsvillan, Riya Kishanchandani, a model, blogger and social media influencer, will get to pick one out ten boys to be her connection in Splitsvilla 13. From here on, it’s up to the viewers to vote for two favourite to-be-Splitsvillans out of the four, who will get to go on the show. So it all comes down to this moment!

All the 3 Golden villa contestants goes on a date, with all those girls who gave them the golden arrows.

Later, Rannvijay came to the villa and asked the golden villa stayed contestants to choose 1 one girl from their respective dates, Nikhil chose Pallak, Kevin chose Kat and Vyomesh ditched Arushi and chose Bhoomika which caused major fight among Splitsvillans.

Azma Falla is unable to stand the sight of Nikhil Malik and Pallak Yadav together and decides to poke into their privacy. Later, the contestants face the first challenge of the season to make coffee with their crush. As Samarthya Gupta and Gary Lu got the highest silver arrows they got the chance to participate in the first Golden Opportunity task. They will be challenging the Golden Villa Boys. The same night splitsvillans had their first dome session.
